Minor Updates
Unfortunately there hasn't been much to report/share lately as things have been rather quiet since moving into the new house (no sorry no pictures of the house just yet, still trying to find which box the digital camera was put into). In the meantime though here are a few tidbits that are worth sharing...
New Texture Monk DVDs
Four new Texture Monk DVDs arrived this past week from the UK. This latest batch contains 3 misc DVDs worth of textures and a very nice collection of medieval Europe textures and images. I think now I have something like 20 DVDs from these guys and overall I have been pretty pleased with the results (the sci-fi collection isn't so hot but the rest are pretty good), well worth the yearly investment :)
Palladium Books
If you are a RPG fan, by now you have probably heard that a great independent RPG publisher, Palladium Books, is in a bit of a jam due to one of their employees stealing and apparently embezzeling from the company.
I have made a few posts already (including one on GarageGames) recommending RPG fans head over to the Palladium Books site and help them through this trouble by either purchasing a special lithograph they have created to help get them through some financial troubles, donate some cash via pay-pal and/or buy some books. These guys are probably one of the truest independent RPG guys out there (and not doing D20 stuff), they make great products and all great guys to deal with.
Pixel Shaders
My group within Maxgaming Tech has recently moved onto the Torque Shader Engine now that it is somewhat feature complete and usable enough to make a game out of it. The past few weeks have been spent by Markus porting all of our code over to TSE while I become familiar again with the way the Shader Material System works and get a bunch of art ready.
