40 Feet of Blue Machine

Some of you who are reading this will probably remember that about four or five years that Max Gaming Technologies completed the mecha combat game "Dark Horizons Lore", our very first title we ever produced in fact. Lore was a hybrid Mech and FPS game, it didn't make us rich but it was popular enough to make well over 1000 sales (which is great as an indie) warrenting a title of 'Cult Classic', made some great press thanks to Michael Robertson and Linspire and end up as a 2004 IGF Finalist.

While we were quite proud of what we achieved on the project at the time, it was also one of those projects you look at like any good artist/developer would and think "if we could go back and use what we know now to make it again...".

I am pleased to announce that that opportunity has come. As of this past week, production work started on what we are tentatively calling at this moment "Lore Sequel". While I cannot go into much detail about what's in store (need to save content for futre blogs), here's an interesting picture that you Mech & Lore fans as well as Torque developers might get a good kick out of:
