Information

Dabber Craze is the first of our "Arsino" style games that we have begun to develop here at eQube. These type of games combine your usual old school arcade style game play (ie. fast action, no story, just entertainment and fun) with our industries gambling edge (ie. winning money).

In the case of Dabber Craze you need to form a vertical, horizontal or diagonal match of 3 or more color dabber tops to clear those dabbers from the board and earn points. If you clear a dapper cap with a card underneath it you can win cash, time or power-ups (which can be used to help you get through a level faster and earn more points or get more cards).

On this particular project I was involved in the game development and created all the art that the game utilizes with Adobe Photoshop and 3DS Max (renders). The game art itself was based on the need to create a futuristic but fun feeling game that could properly utilize our touch-screen LCD terminals and convey a visual "wow" to the end user playing it, because of this, I needed to keep the left/right sides of the screen clear so that the user would not cover up their play area with their body and instead utilize the lower half of their monitor for touching/interaction.
