ICE (TV Series for CBC by Aquila Productions)

With the ICE TV project I was brought in to help develop the scenes that the characters will be placed in. ICE takes place far into the future where hockey is the most popular sport in the world, where man must face off against machine in the struggle to keep the sport viable for human players. ICE airs Saturday nights before the opening game of CBC's Hockey Night in Canada show.

All of the 3D work presented below was developed in 3DS Max R4.2 with no additional plugins. Please note that the images below are presented as a portfolio example only, no infringement on copyright is intended.

NIL Hockey Arena

With the arena I took the original concept that was created by Graham Melley and improved upon it by redoing the modeling, texturing, and lighting that you see here. The arena itself needed to be modular so that it could be reused as different locations across the league.

Lucre's Office

Vincent Lucre is the cheif antagonist of the story, he creates the Megabots that are slowly replacing the human players in many of the franchises in the league.

This scene was designed by me based on information and ideas that Graham Mellay at Aquila Productions had given me. The room is designed to be intimidating, evil, and give off the emotion of greed.

Locker Rooms

This is another scene that I designed and built that is based off of the scripts and input from Graham Melley. There are two flavours of the room, one for the human players and another for the Megabots.
