Lore on Gametap, Expensive Dog & Misc

It has been a while since I have gotten off of my ass to do any sort of update on the blog, its not for a lack of wanting to post any sort of news, just that there honestly hasn't been that much going on.

GameTap

This past week Dark Horizons - Lore : Invasion launched on GameTap (a monthly subscription based service where you pay one fee and get access to a massive library of games that you can download and try out). As such we have seen a lot of new faces coming into the game and trying it out.

I am told that if you have a gametap subscription that you can see a Lore banner at the top of their games page currently as well as the fact that its listed in the top played games right now. Very sweet!

Expensive Dog

Ceili, my beagle, has done a good job the past week and a half of making routine visits to the vet. The first trip involved Ceili finding a travel bottle of advil in my wifes purse, the little mutt hopped up on the kitchen table and went snooping through the purse. Finding the bottle an enjoyable item to chew on, she eventually popped open the cap and found the real gems inside, Advil! Needless to say she ate half a bottle in no time!

Luckily I work from home and we caught her a few minutes after she had done the deed and it was readily apparent, the dog was stoned. The poor pup had absolutely no balance, her tail was limp and when she sat down her front paws kept slipping on the hardwood floor. So we rushed her to the vet where Ceili had to stay overnight and endure a variety of items to make her vomit (so that whatever was in her stomach got expelled), charcoal (to absorb what was in her stomach and not let the body take it in) and IV (to clear out whatever was in her system).

From what I am told ODing on Advil/Tylenol/etc. is the same as in people as it is in dogs, which basicly means that left unchecked it can lead to stomach ulcers that will bleed and liver damage or even failure. Luckily we caught it really early so that was absolute no damage to the dog, just the bankaccount of my wife and I.

The second visit was a few days later when we noticed that Ceili had developed an ear infection that was looking like a bad scabby rash with some open sores. Another visit to the vet allowed us to leave with more medication of the pooch.

All in all these two visits to the vet cost us about $1100.00, something that I look at and say "God Dammit, why the hell didn't we get off of our asses and buy vet insurence way back in the day!"

Misc

My subscription copy of Max 9 finally arrived. Apparently I still had my old address in my subscription information so it was sent to the wrong house.

Heres an image from my trip to Ohio working with Adrian, Tim and Sebastien (in that order from left to right).
