False Alarm on Baby

My wife and I ended up at the hospital on Friday for what turns out to be a false alarm. There was a tiny bit of bleeding but nothing that was out of the ordinary or affecting the kid. So there is still at least two more weeks to go at least.

On the plus side it does allow us to complete all the work we wanted to do to the baby's room. I ended up painting the walls a nice blue colour, which when I look at it now I want to now paint fluffy clouds and bright cartoon sun on the walls too lol.

A Fairly Uneventful Past Couple of Weeks

I could say that it was me just being lazy and not doing any bloging, but to be honest there hasn't been much going on that I felt was worthwhile to throw some RSS feeds out there for, that and my digi camera died (see below), so I cannot even make a basic story intersting without a picture or two. Here is the basic jist of it though...

I Joined Digital Alberta

Digital Alberta is made up of a group of "new media" companies and individuals whose main goal is to further the growth of the media industry here in the province of Alberta. Its a very cool collection of web developers, web programmers, software engineers, digital marketing guys, games developers and basicly anything else that's electronic media related.

One of the main reasons why I joined this group is that I want to further the digital media industry here in Alberta. Its a strong and vibrant industry, but its also got a nasty habit of being very closed doors and quiet, so people are unaware of what is in their backdoors.

The second big reason is that we are potentially looking to expand Max Gaming should some more contracts come in and part of that expansion would be in Canada to hire more of the talent that we have up here.

Digital Camera Died

After six great years my little Toshiba Digital Camera finally bit the bullet. I have no idea exactly what is going on, but the camera is making some nice annoying error messages and wont retract the lense into the camera housing. Of course as luck would have it, it died during my sister-in-law's wedding, right at the start so I have only a few pictures of the whole thing :(

Sister in Law Got Married

My sister in law of 2 and a bit years finally tied the knot to her longtime hubby DJ. They had been engaged for years and it was a bit of a running joke how much longer they will be engaged for. But congratulations to them for finally tieing the knot.

5 Weeks Till Kids Due

Just a little longer and then my spawn arrives onto the world. My wife and I are short a few more items, but all in all I think we are pretty much prepared for the big day. Hopefully I will have a new camera by the time the kids born so I can do more than try to describe what he looks like lol.
